Training Concepts in Airlines
The Royal Aeronautical Society and its associated professional bodies, the Institution of Engineers Pakistan and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport arranged an Air Transport Group lecture on Training Concepts in Airlines, as a part of the Society’s professional development programme
Mr. Sohail Mahmood has 27 years of Training and Development experience in airline industry in PIA, USA and Canada. Due to his distinguished educational background he was awarded a scholarship by the Government of Pakistan that led him to complete his Masters in Aerospace Engineering from Riga Civil Aviation University, Latvia. He holds Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License and Instructional Proficiency from PCAA on many modern aircraft. During this period he served as Instructor, Chief Instructor, Project Leader and Deputy General Manager before his elevation as Principal PIA Training Centre. He has many aviation research publication in international journals and presented research papers in international aviation conferences. He has attended different airline professional courses at IATA, EU, JICA, PW, Boeing and Airbus in Pakistan and abroad.
